1) The contracted snow removal area will be the residences’ paved driveway from the street level to garage - and the safest distance from any vehicles, garage doors, landscaping, stairs, etc. IVSR equipment cannot safely remove all of the snow in front of garage door areas. Our operators are instructed to stay a safe distance from garages, cars, stairs, decks, etc. Some snow will be left in these areas.
2) IVSR starts routes after the snow reaches a depth of approx. 4-6” inches. Thereafter, during storms, your fee covers one snow clearing every 24-hour period. Although we try to mostly start in the early A.M. hours, due to timing of storms and county street clearing, we cannot guarantee an exact time of clearing. If storms start in the afternoon or evenings, we will wait to start our routes until next early A.M. hours.
3) IVSR does not skip around on designated routes. Please hold all phone calls & emails during snowstorms. You may drive on un-cleared driveways; this does not impact our machines’ ability to clear the snow.
4) During heavy accumulating snowstorms or whiteouts, our services may be delayed due to safety reasons. County roads may be inaccessible and conditions may be too dangerous to operate. During these events, we will start our routes when conditions are safe for employees.
5) If vehicles or any other obstacles obstruct our snow removal operations, we will be back to clear snow on the next scheduled snow day after next snow storm.
6) IVSR is not responsible for any damage to driveway caused by the efforts of normal snow removal operations including storm drains, pavers, asphalt, drain grating, cutting edge scrapes and superficial chain marks.
7) IVSR will place snow stakes free of charge. If the homeowner chooses to place snow stakes or removes the snow stakes placed by IVSR, IVSR will not be responsible for damage to property or landscaping. IVSR will remove the snow stakes at the end of the contracted season. If owner, or landscapers remove snow stakes, the owner will be charged at the end of the season.
8) Homeowner will not keep any articles or obstructions in the marked driveway area such as wood, toys, shovels, sleds, rocks, gravel, newspapers, construction material, planters, etc. during the contracted period. These items will get covered by snow and damage our equipment and reduce our effectiveness. In the event that these type of items cause damage to our equipment, the signer of the IVSR contract will be held responsible for any and all equipment repair and downtime.
9) Owners of vacation homes or rental properties are responsible for making the renter aware of the terms of this contract. The homeowner will be held responsible for any breeches of the contract made by the renter(s).
10) Snow removal from roofs, decks, sidewalks, and walkways is not permitted to be placed on driveway. In the case that this occurs, the homeowner will be charged a minimum fee of $500 per occurrence if IVSR deems it is safe to remove. Removal is at IVSR discretion.
11) Indemnity: signee of contract and/or property owner shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless Contractor (Incline Village Snow Removal), its owners, agents, consultants, employees, and any subcontractors, from all claims for bodily injury or property damage that may arise on Customer’s premises and/or property including incidents related to snow removal, snow or ice.
If conflict of any kind occurs during contracted season, IVSR reserves the right to suspend/cancel services at any time.
